Why should you become a member of the Spur Of The Moment Horse Club?

Some people join to be eligible to compete for fabulous year end awards or to receive discounts on show fees. Others join because the Spur Of The Moment Horse Club is family friendly group that has a lot of fun. Whether you are an experienced competitor or new to horses you will be welcome. You will see our members helping each other get ready for their classes, competing hard against each other in the ring, congratulating each other on a good ride, and chatting before their next class.

Member involvement is critical for Spur's success. We encourage members to serve as officers or volunteer during shows. We reward our members hard work by discounting their show fees. And of course there is also the satisfaction of making the club even better! If everyone pitches in no one has to do a lot and everyone enjoys themselves.

Year End Awards - Prizes are awarded to 1st through 4th place in each age division for both pleasure and speed classes. Members who compete in a 5 of 8 shows with the same horse are eligible.

Saddle Gift Certificate - Awarded to the overall highpoint horse/rider combination. Members must compete with the same horse in at least 5 of 8 shows. Pleasure riders must enter at least 1 speed class per show and speed riders must enter at least 1 pleasure class per show to be eligible.

Equestrian Team Award - Riders earn points for their team when they place in a class. At the end of the season the team with the most points wins money for their school's equestrian team. You must designate which school's equestrian team you are a member of on your entry forms for your points to count.

Ride All Day For $35 - Members may enter as many classes as they wish (excluding sweepstakes and junior horse classes) for $35 including the high point fee. This can save members a lot of money!

Opportunity to Volunteer - Our members are encouraged to participate in the running of the club and horse shows. If you are interested in getting involved please contact any of the officer for more information. There are always a variety of fun and educational ways to be involved!

Vote in Club Decisions - Every member has an equal vote in all club decisions. We welcome their input and ideas.
