Blanket Fee Now Offered At Wayne County Spur Shows
Spur is pleased to be able to offer a blanket fee for the Wayne County shows. The blanket fee will include all age division classes, both pleasure and speed, plus your stall for the weekend. It will not include junior horse or sweepstakes classes.
- Member Blanket Fee $100
- Non-Member Blanket Fee $150
Wayne County Fairgrounds Horse Arena Renovations
Demolition of the Main Horse Arena will begin Sunday evening, May 11th. Volunteers are needed to begin the demolition process. Any Spur members that are willing to help would be appreciated. Thanks to the financial support of an anonymous donor and many other individuals and local businesses, the reconstruction process will take place over the two-weeks following the May 11th demolition.
The renovations will include:
- Increase Arena size to 100' x 260'
- Add 12" Clay Base to facilitate drainage
- Add 3" of 2NS concrete sand as a recommended footing
- Add a new 6' drain tile around the entire arena
- Install a new 3-rail PVC premium grade horse fence
- Install new PVC entrance gate and 16' metal tube exit gate
Spur is on the Move!
Starting in 2008 Spur will be holding shows at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Belleville as well as at the Washtenaw County Fairgrounds in Ann Arbor. This has allowed us to add 3 additional show dates creating a couple weekend long shows. We hope to gain some new members from Wayne County!
